Adrianne Oyola: July 5th you took my whole world right from me. In seconds you
destroyed my whole life.
Reporter: A mother gave a heartfelt statement as her
ex-boyfriend was sentenced for killing their son in 2015. Tony Moreno was found
guilty of throwing seven month-old Aiden Moreno off a Connecticut bridge.
The child fell 90 feet his death. Moreno claims the boy
slipped from his arms and
he jumped in after him. The jury didn't believe him and the judge had little
sympathy for the 23 year old, when he sentenced him to 70 years in prison.
Adrianne Oyola: I won't get to see my son grow up to reach one to take his first
steps, to see his first tooth, to say his first word.
Reporter: The sentence was
little comfort to the child's mother, Adrian Oyola. Who had just settled a custody
dispute with Marino, days before the murder. Reports say Moreno texted her
saying Eden was dead and he was going to take his own life.
Mareno's mother: This monster he's being portrayed as...
that's not the person I gave birthto and that's not the person I love.
Reporter: Oyola says she feels sorry for Mareno's mother, but she believes
the sentence fit the crime.
Adrianne Oyola: Now Aiden can rest in peace knowing that justice it was served.
